Autumn is undoubtedly a time for hot coffee, compelling TV series or books, and long evenings spent with good music. Despite the pandemic, this year's fall is still rich in promising album premieres, both in Poland and abroad. What are the most anticipated musical novelties of fall 2020?

Which album premieres of 2020 are we still waiting for? The last quarter of the year is a time when particularly many musical novelties appear. 2020 was not a year conducive to events and festivals - due to the pandemic, our entire musical "consumption" moved to the online world, and we will certainly have to wait a bit longer for live music. On the other hand, the lockdown has given us more time to enjoy culture in the comfort of our homes - including music.

Fall musical novelties 2020: music during pandemic times

Music affects the senses, changes the mood, motivates or calms down. In the second half of the year, we naturally become more nostalgic, we look for good and effective relaxation and above all we appreciate a moody environment. Our mood in the coming months will be taken care of by Polish and foreign music stars who plan to release long-awaited records. "Plan" is a good word, because as we can see from the example of the film industry, in today's times everything can change very quickly. Which records are we waiting for with a smile on our faces and well-set speakers? Here are the musical novelties of 2020 and the fall album premieres of 2020 that will warm us up this season!

1. Bruce Springsteen, Letter To You

It's hard not to look forward to an album by such a music legend as Bruce Springsteen. The singer can boast of releasing his twentieth album. Moreover, the album was created in collaboration with the E Street Band, with whom Springsteen last collaborated in 2014 when creating the album High Hopes. The collaboration resulted in 12 tracks, as always with a rock vibe, which probably were created in a very short time, in the artist's home studio. Despite the difficult situation in the market and the blockade of all mass concert events, Springsteen decided to release the album. It will see the light of day on October 23, and it's promoted by the single of the same title, Letter To You. It's going to be one of the hottest fall album premieres of 2020!

2. Sam Smith, Love Goes

Sam Smith's voice is so soothing that it's hard to imagine a better way to spend the fall. The premiere of the artist's third album was scheduled for June 2020 and was originally entitled To Die For. Eventually, the album changed its title, and the release date was set for October 30. The album will not lack touching songs, which are Smith's specialty, but also club tracks, which will surely be remixed by the best DJs. The single promoting the album, Diamonds, is already available online.

3. Bon Jovi, 2020

Bon Jovi is another legend of the American music scene. The band has fifteen albums to its credit, including this latest one, which is already available on the most popular streaming platforms. The album was originally supposed to be released in May, but the epidemic thwarted the band's plans, which, like most artists, postponed the release date of the new record. However, the waiting time made Bon Jovi slightly change the concept of the album and added songs about social solidarity in the face of a difficult challenge - the global epidemic. The album was symbolically titled 2020 - a date that will surely go down in history. As you can see, it will also go down in the history of music. Will it be one of the most widely discussed musical premieres of 2020?

4. Kylie Minogue, Disco

Kylie Minogue is often called the princess of pop. Although this title is awarded to many artists, it must be admitted that Kylie never leaves the music scene and at the age of 50 she still occupies an important place on it. Disco is the fifteenth album in the Australian singer's career. As the name suggests, we can expect a lot of musical inspiration from the rhythm of the 70s and 80s, which greatly raises the expectations of the singer's fans. After all, the 80s were the period of shaping the musical taste of the artist, so we can certainly expect pleasant, pop songs that will move more than one dance floor. The premiere is on November 6.

5. Mikromusic, Kraksa

And what are we waiting for when it comes to musical novelties of 2020 in Poland? This is an album that has already seen the light of day and, as you might expect, is perfect for melancholic autumn days. Mikromusic and its vocalist, Natalia Grosiak, are famous for nostalgic sounds and lyrics, which are as necessary as positive and catchy pop songs. The album relaxes, soothes and works great during evening relaxation with a book and a glass of wine. It's definitely worth listening to, and even adding to your favorite musical novelties of 2020!
