Beyoncé's latest collection with Adidas, Ivy Park Rodeo, was born in Houston, just like the artist herself. The collection was inspired by her childhood in Texas and her personal biography as a pop star. Thanks to this, we can immerse ourselves in a climate filled with denim. How to follow the star's style? We will advise!

Not many people know that in the States, cowboys and cowgirls were not only white men. America often overlooks the presence of black cowboys and cowgirls in the Wild West. Books such as The Compton Cowboys and Ghetto Cowboy, as well as the film Concrete Cowboy (available on Netflix), tell their stories.

Beyoncé's new collection with Adidas touches upon the tradition and history of the United States. In close cooperation with Beyoncé, Adidas has written a new history of North America through clothes, set design, and video, excluding no one. Influencers on YouTube, Instagram, and Twitter are tweeting that this is the best collection of Queen Bey so far. What interesting things can we find in it? Let's take a look together!

Adidas x Beyoncé: a collection for everyone

In the Ivy Park Rodeo collection, for which Beyoncé was the originator, Adidas proposes an American athleisure style with a lot of navy blue denim decorated with characteristic Adidas three stripes and... slightly kitschy, but typical for Houston "patchy" prints. Among the models appearing in the campaign were Iranian singer Snoh Aalegra, model Paloma Elsesser, Houston rapper Tobe Nwigwe and his wife Fat Nwigwe, and actor and real cowboy Glynn Turman, who allowed Beyoncé to use his ranch during the premiere.

The collection, hand-picked by (probably the most famous) Houston resident, includes a wide range of clothes and accessories intended for both big outings and everyday wear. The line includes 58 clothing items, including denim jackets, button-up skirts, hip-hugger jeans in sizes from XS to 4XL - so no one will be left out. A size can be found for everyone. Among the accessories, we will find baseball caps and cowboy hats in white and blue like the sky over the prairie and in brown.

The new collection also includes five models of footwear, mainly sports sneakers. For the first time, along with this Adidas and Beyoncé collection, children's clothing was introduced. Now, the whole family can wear Ivy Park Adidas x Beyoncé collections.

History and inspiration for Ivy Park Rodeo

Family, childhood memories, and roots were a huge inspiration for Beyoncé.

"I was inspired by our culture and rodeo in Houston. We combined classic elements with sportswear from Ivy Park x Adidas, adding our own view: jeans with monograms, chaps, and cowhide" says Beyoncé, the originator of the collection.

The collection draws heavily from Beyoncé's youthful memories of going to rodeos with her mother, Tina Knowles-Lawson, and sister Solange.

"My girls' childhood was made up of annual rodeo outings, dressing up as cowboys and... eating: giant turkeys, fried Snickers, and cotton candy" recalls Beyoncé's mother, Tina. "It was our circus. Horse riding every night, and then, of course, real cow riding, horse tricks, and riding shows (my favorite), and ending with concerts of local, smaller and bigger stars (including Selena Quintanilla, played by Jennifer Lopez in the movie of the same title).

Designed in the colors of the prairie, with lavender and brown details, fringes, and wonderful, durable, and hard denim, the Beyoncé Adidas collection is enriched by the fashion elements, including golden trousers with fringes and short jackets, mini skirts, jumpsuits, and chaps - extravagant trousers typical mainly for cowboys. The collection is therefore intended not only for lovers of sporty style, active lifestyle or athleisure (sporty chic after training), but also for fashionistas who want to shine.

The atmosphere of the collection is perfectly illustrated by the expertly styled editorial and promotional videos, inviting to the Wild West, where time flows slower, in rhythm with nature, and cultural life focuses in a local strip club, at a barbecue with neighbors and family, or just during a rodeo.

Regardless of whether you are a fan of American aesthetics or not, it is worth paying attention to the Adidas x Beyoncé collection and at least look at the lookbook photos or editorials and promotional videos pleasing to the eye. Even if you haven't been drawn to the West so far, now you will definitely start. Ivy Park Rodeo Beyoncé, although it has a strong casual line, arouses emotions, draws in like a good western, and keeps the eye longer.
