As it turns out, the best albums most frequently played in homes, cars, or portable players by Poles are mainly Polish productions. What's more, the influence of the younger generation is visible here, which uses music applications much more often than their parents. The popularity of this genre, often mixed with other musical styles, can be measured by the popularity of Taco Hemingway, who turned out to be the most popular artist in Poland. After all, we spent the last few months humming not only the title "Małomiasteczkowy" but also Dawid's new acoustic arrangements, which will go on a concert tour around Poland in January. It looks like after 2018, the year 2019, and as it seems, also the next year will belong to Dawid Podsiadło.
Among other Polish artists, albums and individual tracks of such performers as Tymek, Bedoes and, of course, Quebonafide also enjoy great popularity. Polish rap in its new form is doing very well, and these songs are the hits of 2019. Bedoes and Taco Hemingway's productions are also the best albums according to Spotify statistics. Hits of the summer 2019 - Camila Cabello, or Ed Sheeran?
It's hard to find one leading hit of the summer 2019. It's worth referring again to the Spotify ranking, which included, among others, such songs as "Ona By Tak Chciała" by Ronnie Ferrari or "Señorita" by the duo Camila Cabello and Shawn Mendes. This is a very hot duet, which also made a big mess in other compilations of the past year. Camila Cabello proved that she is not a one-hit singer ("Havana"), and Shawn Mendes is becoming an increasingly prevailing music star. Music in 2019 was definitely theirs to a large extent.
It is worth reminding ourselves of the other hits of 2019. The beloved by everyone Ed Sheeran froze his fans with information that he wants to take a break from performing, but to comfort, he released a very positive hit of the summer 2019 - the track "I Don't Care" in duet with Justin Bieber. Although nobody expected this duet, it turned out that the gentlemen have not only talent, but also a great distance to themselves and can infect with positive energy from the first note of their joint song.

The third foreign artist who definitely needs to be mentioned in the summary of what the music of 2019 looked like is Billie Eilish, whose hit "Bad Guy" strongly dominated home and club parties.
So what have we listened to in 2019? We have long since abandoned the notion that the best albums always come from abroad. In 2019, Polish music definitely ruled!
