POWER SUIT

To say that formal looks were present at this year's Fashion Weeks would be an understatement. Outfits composed of suits, shirts, and elegant vests dominated not just two or three shows, but a truly substantial number.

The greatest love for perfect tailoring was shown by the creative directors of brands such as Giorgio Armani, Dolce & Gabbana, Saint Laurent and Gucci. On the runways of the first two fashion houses, we could admire mainly those universal colors like black, white, and gray, while Anthony Vaccarello and Sabato De Sarno infused their collections with a whole array of autumnal hues: from captivating browns and beiges, through lighter and darker shades of green, to sophisticated purples and navy blues.

DENIM FEVER

Classic style with a distressed texture, in colorful variants, or with rips? Or perhaps adorned with embroidered inserts or a monogram?

Everyone should know that denim is thriving in fashion, but not everyone knows that designers have unanimously declared it the most important trend for the upcoming fall.

This prized material appeared on runways in many forms. And although we generally favor classics, which this year were chosen by Rhude, Ami and Versace, our hearts were stolen by slightly more innovative options.

Shirts with decorative neck ties from Loewe or a denim coat by Dries Van Noten were undeniably excellent, but the most intriguing were the offerings from Diesel, Dsquared2 and Acne Studios. Distressed, frayed, patched denim, or this adorned with crystals, is something we recommend to the boldest fashion rebels this coming season.

C STANDS FOR CARGO

One of the most important takeaways from the past Fashion Weeks? The cargo aesthetic isn't leaving men's runways even for the season. Pockets are everywhere: on jackets, shirts, pants, jumpsuits, and even bags.

Sometimes they result from playing with proportions, experimenting with textures, and other times, from an endless love for minimalism.

To see the strength of this trend, just look at the fall collections of Dries Van Noten, Off-White, Marant and Dsquared2. That's where the most cargo designs appeared, and interestingly - each took on a completely different form. The classic version reigned at the hands of the irreplaceable Belgian, while the other three collections embraced total avant-garde, featuring asymmetrical cuts, unique details, and eye-catching prints.

COAT IN THE SPOTLIGHT

According to designers, an eye-catching coat is the most important element of styling in the upcoming season. So if you have been wondering which fall outerwear to choose from, you couldn't have made a better choice.

This year, in addition to safe, subdued solutions favored by designers like Matthieu Blazy, there are many modern designs to explore. We were impressed by coats adorned with logos or lurex thread from Amiri, models with colorful and abstract prints from Balmain, and leather-fur constructions from Burberry. However, we wouldn't accuse Gucci and Givenchy of having boring designs either. Projects enriched with still-trendy fringes should undoubtedly find their place in every stylish man's wardrobe!
